INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY 2026 – Veronique Koo – A Decade of Impact

On the 1st of March 2016, two journeys began together at VLH (now ER Hospitality). Exactly ten years later, as we celebrate International Women’s Day, it’s the perfect moment to honour a colleague who has been a constant source of energy and reliability: Veronique Koo.

Whether navigating the bustling trade fairs of China (2019), Saudi Arabia (2024), or her frequent successful missions to India (2024 & 2025), she handles the South African, Russian, and Indian markets with unparalleled grace—alongside Nisha Maistry and Magali Petite.

If you need to know about a contract change from three years ago or a specific hotel procedure, you don’t need a search engine — you need Veronique. Known as the office Wikipedia, she has a legendary eye for detail. She keeps track of every communiqué, every contract amendment, and every promotion. But her knowledge isn’t just for show; she is always ready with a clear explanation and a helping hand.

We saw this most clearly in 2020. When a colleague in the wedding department fell ill, Veronique stepped in without hesitation to ensure everything ran smoothly.
